You may recognize Leshya and Sean from their super awesome engagement session with the vintage Ford truck. Here are some photos of their big day…a ceremony on the beach and beautiful reception at the Caribbean Court Hotel. I sat around all morning checking the weather channel and looking outside, the sky looked as if it’d open up any minute. Luck must have been on their side because the ceremony went off without a hitch and the sky looked gorgeous.

You know I am always on the lookout for great destination wedding spots. Enter the Treasure Coast of Florida and you’ll find an oceanfront barrier island in Vero Beach. MSNBC dubbed it “Miami’s version of the Hamptons” because of the island’s exclusivity (i.e. $14 million + homes up the wazoo) coupled with its hometown charm. Had a wonderful stay at Emilio and Gloria Estefan’s Hotel, Coste d’ Este, where the vibe was so so haute:
Another one of my favorite stops was The Caribbean Court Boutique Hotel, maybe I’m partial because I am from the beautiful Caribbean island of Haiti, but there was something so authentic and endearing about this place. Was it because Boris, the owner, served me the best vichyssoise (chilled Potato and Leek Soup) I have ever had? Was it the sexy Havana Nights piano bar? Or was it the courtyard that reminded me of Italy? All I know is that I really like the place.
There are tons of things to do and places to visit in the area, like the lush McKee Botanical Gardens or the various activities on the Indian River.

“Once again, like the hotel this restaurant was recommended to us by a real estate agent while we were updating our vacation home in Vero Beach. Since we travel alot for business we are very selective when it comes to restaurants. We decided to try the hotel restaurant even though we rarely eat in hotel restaurants when traveling. What a surprise. The service and food was above and beyond what we could have ever expected. From small round white leather (with pillows) extremely romantic tables for 2 to larger tables with a wonderful choice of rooms. Needless to say each and every time we stayed at this hotel, we ate at the hotel. The food and service is truly 5 star!!! From appetizers to finish we NEVER made a bad choice. I really don’t think there are any bad choices in this restaurant. Again like the hotel we were treated like family and not just patrons. This restaurant is a must when visiting Vero Beach.”

“We were a little early so we went to The piano Bar upstairs. Great music and atmosphere with both a bar and little intimate booth sitting areas under romantic lighting. The drinks were all perfect and of course the best liquors such as Belvedere were available. The house Cab was amazing. Our dinner was incredible. There was a Large Snapper for two in a french limonaise sauce, too much food to finish even for two (The reat was finished the next day;-) I had the medium rare meat sampler. Cooked to perfection was Buffalo, Filet Mignon and Venison. I have to admit it was all excellent, but I loved the Venison the best. It was like trying to say which child of yours you love more! Great friendly professional service with first class food! BTW – I was particularly pleased that it was not an A La Carte menu, where you have to choose and pay seperately for your side dishes. The food of course was hot and perfect.”
